Design, supply and install of a staircase glass balustrade system in Eastbourne city center
We’re designing this beautiful staircase balustrade for a client in Eastbound. The project is made simpler in that all staircase elements are base mounted rather than side mounted. When side mounting any glazing to the edge of a staircase the glass needs to be drilled an held in place with securing pins.
Specification of materials:
- 316 grade stainless steel tube – although the staircase is internal, given the proximity to the coast, we have decided to use 316 grade on this project where normally 304 grade stainless steel would be used
- 10mm clear and toughened glass with polished edges
- Base mounted plates fixed with concrete anchor bolts
- Continuous brushed finished handrail above glass
